Minnamurra Rainforest Excursion

On Thursday we had a fantastic time exploring the Minnamurra Rainforest. We were taught how to care for the environment by:
- Walking on the pathways so that we don't step on any plants or animals
- Throwing our rubbish in the bins so that we don't introduce food that might make the animals sick
- Not swimming in the rivers so sunscreen and other products stay our of the water and it keeps clean

We noticed that the pathways were raised above the forest floor so that we protect the environment. On our walk we spotted spiders webs, ferns, butress roots, vines, strangler figs, oak trees, boulders, a river and we even saw a lyrebird. We learnt that the male lyrebird has the long curly feathers and can dance really well so that he can attract the female. It was an exhausting journey but also an amazing and rich learning experience!
